Full-space spin-decoupled versatile wavefront manipulations using non-interleaved metasurface

Abstract Achieving multifunctional wavefront manipulations of waves with a flat and thin plate is pivotal for high-capacity communications, which however also challenging. A multi-layer metasurface suppressed mode crosstalk provides an efficient recipe primarily circular polarization, but all multiple functionalities still are confined to locked spin states modes. Here, spin-decoupled full-space control reported by multiplexing both linear momentum frequency degree freedom. We employed vertically cascaded quadrangular patches crossbars integrate geometric dynamic phases realized four channels between two frequencies in distinct scattering modes (transmission reflection). For verification, proof-of-concept metadevice four-port experimentally demonstrated, exhibiting including spin- frequency-dependent focusing, quad-beam radiation, anomalous reflections, Bessel beam generation. Our finding metasurfaces would be important radar detections, other applications.
